TL;DR: Azelia only stores what's needed for music features. We never store audio. We never sell data. Your playlists are yours and can be deleted anytime.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs data collection and handling by Azelia ("the Bot"), operated by Nabarup Chanda ("Venom", "we", "us"). By inviting Azelia to your Discord server or interacting with it, you agree to this policy alongside Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Guild Data

  • Guild ID — required to store per-server music configuration
  • Music settings: default volume level, 24/7 mode status, DJ role ID, vote-skip threshold
  • Channel ID for bound music channel (if configured)
  • Autoplay preferences and queue behavior settings

2.2 User Data

  • User ID — required for playlist ownership, vote tracking, and premium verification
  • Custom saved playlists (track URLs and metadata you explicitly save)
  • Premium subscription status and tier (guild or user linked)
  • Vote-skip vote records (temporary, cleared per session)

2.3 Playback Data

  • Current queue is stored in memory only — never written to disk
  • Queue is permanently lost on bot restart or session end
  • Track metadata (title, artist, duration, source URL) is cached briefly for display — not stored

2.4 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Audio content — Azelia never records or stores any audio
  • Personal information beyond Discord user/guild IDs
  • Listening history beyond the current session queue
  • Payment details of any kind
  • IP addresses or device identifiers

3. Third-Party Platforms

Azelia integrates with Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, and Apple Music to deliver music. When you request a track from these platforms:

  • Azelia accesses publicly available stream URLs through official APIs and licensed infrastructure
  • No audio is stored — content streams directly from the source through Lavalink
  • Your interactions with these platforms are also governed by their respective privacy policies
  • Spotify data is accessed through the Spotify Web API under their developer terms

Azelia does not require or request your personal Spotify, YouTube, or SoundCloud account credentials at any point.

4. How We Use Data

  • Guild configuration — persists your server's music settings between sessions
  • Playlist data — enables the /playlist save, load, and list commands
  • Premium verification — unlocks premium features based on subscription status
  • Vote-skip — tracks votes within a session to determine skip threshold
  • 247 mode — remembers 24/7 toggle state per server

5. Data Storage

Persistent data (guild config, user playlists, premium status) is stored in a secured MongoDB database with encryption at rest. Queue and session data exist in Redis memory only and are never written to disk.

6. Data Sharing

Azelia does not sell, share, or rent any user data to third parties. Data is not shared with music platforms beyond the API calls required to fetch stream URLs. No analytics companies, advertisers, or data brokers receive any Azelia user data.

7. Data Retention

  • Guild configuration is retained while Azelia is in your server
  • After Azelia is kicked, guild data auto-purges after 30 days
  • User playlists persist indefinitely until you delete them with /playlist delete or request deletion
  • Premium records are retained for the subscription duration plus 14 days

8. Your Rights

  • Access — /playlist list shows all data Azelia holds about your playlists
  • Deletion — /playlist delete removes saved playlists; full deletion requests accepted via support server
  • Portability — request an export of your playlist data via the support server
  • Correction — any data inaccuracies can be reported and corrected

9. Premium Data

Premium subscriptions are processed externally (via Discord or direct arrangement). Azelia only stores the resulting status (active/inactive, tier, guild/user ID). We do not store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or transaction data. For payment disputes, contact the payment processor directly.

10. Security

We implement encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. Lavalink nodes used by premium users are isolated. If you discover a security issue, please report it privately to venom_2021_ on Discord.

11. Policy Changes

Policy updates will be announced in the ZorveX Support Server with at least 7 days notice for material changes. Continued use of Azelia after changes indicates acceptance.
